Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we hold it, who processes it on our behalf, and what rights you have.
What we collect
If you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, organisation (optional) and message you provide. We do not ask for, and do not want, any special category data.
We also receive limited technical information generated by your visit — IP address, browser type and the page requested — through our hosting and security providers, as described below.
Why we hold it, and our lawful basis
We use your details to read and respond to your enquiry, and to keep a record of the correspondence. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and running the practice; where an enquiry leads to an engagement, processing is also necessary to take steps before entering a contract.
We do not use your details for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept while the matter is live and for up to 24 months afterwards, so that we can pick up an earlier conversation. Spam submissions that fail our checks are discarded and not retained.
Who processes it
We use a small number of suppliers who process data on our behalf:
- CloudflareHosting and delivery of this site, and Turnstile, the spam challenge on the contact form.
- ResendDelivery of contact form submissions to our inbox.
These providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, transfers rely on the UK's adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum to the standard contractual clauses.
Cookies and similar technologies
We do not run analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The Turnstile challenge may set a strictly necessary cookie or use similar local storage to confirm that a form submission comes from a person rather than a script; it is not used to build a profile of you.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, contact us through the form.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you raised it with us first.
Changes
This notice was last updated on 5 November 2026. If our processing changes, we will update it here.
